Lights Out Houston is a blog project to promote energy efficiency authored by contributors from Houston’s real estate and home construction sectors. Houston may be known as a city that thrives off energy production, but it’s also a place that consumes its fair share of that energy. The founders of Lights Out Houston started this blog with the goal to encourage Houston residents to think twice about the energy they use every day. From efficient and LEED home design to simple practices like turning out the lights when you leave a room, we can all do big and little things to reduce our city’s footprint. Living consciously and being environmentally-friendly makes the Houston of tomorrow a better place.
